Montréal, May 5, 2021 – Effective Thursday, May 6 at 9 a.m. the Tribunal administratif du logement will reactivate the service that enables the online follow-up of records being processed by the Tribunal.

Concerned by information reported in Le Devoir on Thursday, April 29, 2021, the Tribunal administratif du logement has put the necessary measures in place to prevent the fraudulent use of the legal information available via its online portal.

The Tribunal administratif du logement reiterates, however, that personal information obtained by a public body in the performance of an adjudicative function is not confidential under section 53 of the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information . This exception is corollary to open court proceedings. The Tribunal is nonetheless aware of the importance of preventing the use of such information for illegitimate purposes.
