Decision

Time limit for rendering a decision

Under the Rules of procedure of the Administrative Housing Tribunal, a decision must be rendered within three months of the date on which the case was taken under advisement.

To obtain the date on which the case was taken under advisement, consult the online record. The three-month period begins on that date.

However, that time limit may be extended by the chair or designated vice-chair.

If the administrative judge or special clerk seized of a matter fails to render a decision within the prescribed time limit, the chair or designated vice-chair may remove the administrative judge or special clerk from the case and order that it be entrusted to another adjudicator
